
Pauline E. “Grandma P.” Imdieke, age 99 of Meire Grove, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, July 10, 2015, at the CentraCare Health Nursing Home in Melrose, Minn.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, July 14, at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Meire Grove with Rev.
Mitchell Bechtold officiating and Rev. Ken Thielman concelebrating. Interment was in the parish cemetery.
Pauline Elizabeth Meyer was born Feb. 6, 1916, in Meire Grove, Minn., to Joseph and Elizabeth (Deters)
Meyer. On May 25, 1937, she married Edward Imdieke at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Meire Grove. The couple farmed east of Meire Grove until 1973. They retired and moved to town. She enjoyed quilting, embroidering, baking bread, and was a good cook.
Pauline was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Meire Grove, St. Mary’s Society, and Poor Soul’s Society.
Survivors include her children, Rosalie
(Herbert) Welle of Melrose, Donna (Vernon) Athmann of Sauk Centre, Herbert (Darlene) Imdieke of Meire Grove, Margaret (Henry) Haider of Melrose, Martha
Meyer of Meire Grove, Dorothy (John) Funk of New Munich, Ruth (Mark) Hartigan of Sauk Centre, Gary (Vivian) Imdieke of Dothan, Alabama, and Thomas (JoAnn) Imdieke of Mounds View; son-in-law, Richard Christenson of Melrose; 39 grandchildren, 91 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
Pauline was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward Imdieke on September 6, 1995; daughter, Mary Jane Christenson; daughter-in-law, Peggy Imdieke; son-in-law, Leon
Meyer; brothers and sisters, Catherine Korf, Adella Welle, Hilda Meyer, Henry Meyer, Regina Illies, Bernard Meyer, Erma Welle, Evelyn Illies, Olivia Schmiesing, and Francis Meyer; and three granddaughters.
Serving as casket bearers were Randy Welle, Sara Lindbloom, Chris Imdieke, Tina Schmidt, Jason
Christenson, Jodi
Johnson, Ashley
Shearen, and John
Athmann. Cross bearer was Pam Beatty and scripture bearer was Nona Hall. Gift bearers were Janel Eisenschenk, Matt Hartigan, and Michael Imdieke. Mass servers were Ian Funk, Greta Klaphake, and Brady Klaphake. Lectors were Doug Meyer, Kurt Meyer, and JoAnn
Imdieke. Eucharistic Minister was Ryan Posch. Honorary bearers were St. Mary’s Society and Poor Soul’s Society.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
